Minecraft Cozy Survival Cottage - Java and Bedrock

Front view of a Minecraft cozy survival cottage in Java and Bedrock Edition featuring medieval rustic architecture and compact starter design

This Minecraft cozy survival cottage is a compact and efficient nice starter house built for survival game mode. It’s not a full-blown base, but it gives you everything you need to start a new adventure while avoiding some of the usual early-game grind. The cottage provides a safe place to sleep, store your items, and stay protected from mobs during the night. The house also includes some basic food, weapons, tools, and other useful items you typically need when starting a new survival world. Whole house was designed in a more medieval, rustic style rather than a modern one. The interior is fully furnished in a warm, rustic style. Inside the cottage, you’ll find a functional kitchen and dining area, small bathroom, a cozy living room where you can relax, read or just rest in general, a simple and comfortable bedroom with a cat on a bed.

The map is available for Minecraft Java 1.21.10+ and Bedrock Edition 1.21.100+ free to download. Perfect for survival players. For the Java version, you also get a schematic file that you can easily paste it into your own world, for singleplayer or a server. Use the command //paste -e to include all the entities when placing the build. Keep in mind that some block states will reset and need to be fixed manually using a debug stick. Shaders used are "BSL" with custom settings.

For Minecraft Java Edition, download the world file, extract the downloaded .zip file, and then move the world's folder into your Minecraft "saves" folder.

For Minecraft Bedrock Edition, download the world file and then either double-click it to have the game automatically import it, or open the game and use the "Import world" button within the "Worlds" tab after clicking "Play".

For schematic files, you need to have Forge or Fabric installed first and use the WorldEdit mod. Place the .schem file into the schematics folder within your Minecraft directory.
